Your Privacy

Your privacy is important to me. I am committed to protecting your privacy and will ensure that the information I obtain from you will always be processed and transferred in compliance with all applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). A copy of this policy is provided by the link in the welcome email received by all subscribers to Boarding Passes Ready and on the subscription pop-up.

Email Subscription

This is the email that you provide if you wish to receive the Boarding Passes Ready newsletter.

This information is maintained in two places:

  1. On the blog by WordPress. I access this information via the WordPress dashboard only. I do not process your email further, do not download it, and do not share it with any third party.
  2. On the mailing list host Convertkit. I have full access to all data stored there and can enable the deletion of a subscriber’s data should they so wish.

I will use your email address to email you the Boarding Passes Ready newsletter, which may contain direct or indirect marketing material, such as blog posts where I have partnered or collaborated with companies in exchange for a fee.

When you subscribe to receive my newsletter, you consent to receiving this marketing information, which forms part of my blog. If you do not wish to receive such marketing information, you should not subscribe to the newsletter, or you can unsubscribe at any time via the mail out or by contacting me. Comments

When commenting on blog posts, you can leave your first or last name or an alias (not identifiable data) or initials (not identifiable data) and/or your email address.

I do not process this data further and do not save it. The notification of this comment sent to my email address is deleted once read, unless I have any concern that the comment poses a threat or a danger to myself or my family. The comments and data are stored within the comments section of the WordPress blog.

Data Analysis

My website uses Google Analytics, a service that transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, small text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet logs and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. Google Analytics does not identify personal information or individual users, or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

I use reports provided by Google Analytics to help me understand website traffic and web page usage. Boarding Passes Ready does not hold or process this data – inquiries about the processing of technical data should be addressed to Google.

If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found on the browsers’ respective websites. The website www.allaboutcookies.org (run by the Interactive Marketing Bureau) contains step-by-step guidance on how cookies can be switched off by users.

Affiliate Links

Boarding Passes Ready will often add affiliate links within the blog posts. This means that if you click on a website linked by Boarding Passes Ready and make a purchase on that website, I may gain a small percentage of any sale revenue.

The data that you enter on the website where you make a purchase (such as a delivery address or telephone number) is not passed back to me. I will not supply any information on the person(s) who purchased a product via an affiliate link hosted on my blog.

Access Rights

You have a right to access the personal data Boarding Passes Ready holds about you. If you wish to obtain a copy of this information, please contact me.
